Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides comprehensive technical information on various types of flow control valves, specifically cartridge valves. It covers needle valves, pressure-compensated restrictive flow control valves, priority flow control valves, and flow divider/combiners. The document includes specifications, application notes, and ordering information.
Needle Valves: These bi-directional valves are non-pressure compensated and adjustable, suitable for fine metering applications. Key models include CP618-1, CP618-2, and CP610-1, with flow rates from 10 l/min to 380 l/min and a standard pressure rating of 210 bar.
Pressure-Compensated Flow Control Valves: These valves maintain a constant flow rate regardless of load pressure changes. They are available in restrictive and priority types. Restrictive-type valves are two-ported, while priority-type valves are three-ported, directing flow to a priority circuit with excess flow bypassing to another port.
Flow Divider/Combiner: These valves divide or combine flow between ports based on a preset ratio, unaffected by pressure changes. They are used in applications like synchronizing hydraulic cylinders or vehicle drive systems.
Specifications and Ordering Information: Detailed specifications for each valve model are provided, including flow rates, pressure ratings, and dimensions. Ordering information includes seal options and housing types.
Valve Types:
  • Non-Pressure Compensated Valves: Adjustable flow control valves with specific rated flows and leakage rates. Examples include CP610-2, CP611-2, and CP612-1 models.
  • Pressure Compensated Valves: Fixed and limited adjustment flow control valves with specified maximum regulated flows and accuracy levels. Examples include CP308-1, CP300-1, and VR 06 models.
Adjustment Options: Valves come with different adjustment options such as external, knob, internal, and tamper-resistant adjustments, allowing for flexibility in operation.
Housing and Ports: Various housing options are available, including aluminum housings with different BSP and SAE port sizes. Specific part numbers for ordering are listed.
Performance Data: Performance graphs and theoretical performance data illustrate flow rates and pressure drops under different conditions.
Seals and Seal Kits: Valves are available with Buna-N and Viton seals, with specific seal kits provided for maintenance and replacement.
Key Models:
  • BC 06 Velocity Fuse: In-line flow limiter with a pressure rating of 210 bar and a rated free flow of 60 l/min.
  • BC 10 Velocity Fuse: Similar to BC 06 but with a rated free flow of 85 l/min.
  • CP340-1 Flow Divider/Combiner: Fixed ratio, pressure compensated with a rated flow of 45 l/min.
  • CP342-1 Flow Divider/Combiner: Higher capacity with a rated flow of 150 l/min.
  • 2F94-01 Adjustable Flow Control Valve: Priority-type, pressure compensated with a max regulated flow of 30 l/min.
Conclusion: This document serves as a comprehensive guide for selecting and configuring flow control valves in hydraulic systems, providing essential specifications, operational details, and performance data.

Quick Reference Cartridge Valves Technical Information Flow Control Valves Application notes OVERVIEW Pressure compensated flow control valves are used to limit or regulate flow. Three basic types of cartridges are available; restrictive-type, priority-type, and divider/combiner type. Combination valves in manifolds for additional features such as fully adjustable flow or free reverse flow are also available. RESTRICTEDTYPE PRESSURE COMPENSATED Restrictive-type pressure compensated flow control valves are two-ported valves that maintain a constant flow rate from 1 to 2 regardless of load pressure...

Quick Reference Cartridge Valves Technical Information Flow Control Valves Application notes PRIORITYTYPE PRESSURE COMPENSATED Application notes Flow control valves Priority-type pressure compensated flow control valves are three-ported valves that maintain a constant flow rate from 1 to 3 regardless of load pressure changes in the priority circuit downstream of 3 or in the bypass circuit downstream of 2. The control orifice in the spool is factory set to the flow specification. The valve begins to respond to load pressure changes when flow to 3 creates a pressure differential across the control...

Quick Reference compensated valves. When the valve is functioning as a divider, it will divide input flow from 3 to the two outputs at 2 and 4 according to a preset ratio. This ratio is unaffected by pressure. When the valve is functioning as a combiner, it will combine the flow from the two inputs from 2 and 4 into one output at 3. Note that a flow divider/combiner is specified with a nominal flow rate for each leg. When operating with flow rates higher than specified, the dividing and combining ratios will be maintained, but at a cost of higher pressure drop and associated heat generation....
