STEP UNITS - 1

STEP UNITS (Rating 5 to 20 m3/h) The health authorities, local communities and also industrial companies are becoming increasingly attentive to the release of waste water into the environment. The objective is thus to release water with the lowest possible bacteria charge, to preserve the natural environment. Thus, disinfecting systems are being increasingly installed on the outlets from treatment stations, in order to minimise the bacteria charge. Treating this water by UVc radiation is a physical technique that avoids the use of chemicals, and their subsequent release into the environment. Principle of operation The STEP units comprise 55 W UVc modules, connected in parallel between an inlet manifold and an outlet manifold, which all comprises the water module. Each UVc module can be isolated by two ¼-turn valves. The inlet and outlet on the manifolds are opposite, for optimum fluid distribution. Two ½" pick-off points are provided on the end of the inlet and outlet manifolds, for the connection of a cleaning pump if desired. The self-supporting water module is mounted on an alloy strip skid. A UVc intensity monitoring cell is installed on one of the reactors, and the cell output signal is displayed on the electrical control unit. The electrical supply and control cabinet is separate from the water module (and should be mounted close to the water module). Fields of Application STEP units are installed on the outlet from treatment stations, in order to minimise the bacteria concentration before release into the environment. Major advantages of UVc - o chemicals used. N - esult guaranteed (properly sized). R - imple, reliable and economical water S treatment.

STEP UNITS (Rating 5 to 20 m3/h) Technical Characteristics - Electrical power required: 230 V, 50 Hz + earth. Amalgam Mercury Vapour (55W). - Service pressure: 1 to 4 bars. - Test pressure: 10 bars. - lean the UVc generator quartz sheaths regularly - refer to the C servicing/maintenance manual. - utomatic cleaning is possible by circulating a cleaning product A in a closed circuit. Contact us. - amps must be changed once per year (every 8500 hours on the L time meter). If this is not done, the unit will not function properly. Never expose yourself to UVc lamp radiation.
