Product catalog summary
Advantages of the Sludge Collector
The sludge collector addresses several issues such as restricted circulation flow, sludge deposits on valve seats, clogging of control tee-pieces, distribution collectors, and low points like radiators. It prevents damage to circulators and clogging of boilers and exchangers. By removing sludge, the system operates efficiently, reduces energy consumption, and minimizes maintenance. The system is noise-free as it operates without a pump and treats 100% of the primary circuit flow.
Fields of Application
The sludge collector is essential for maintaining clear water in hot or cold water systems, preventing problems like erosion, battery effect, degassing, aggressive water, scaling, and microorganism proliferation. It is suitable for installations such as closed circuit central heating and water-glycol systems.
Operating Principle
The sludge collector traps suspended particles in closed water systems through a three-phase process: slowing fluid flow, magnetic trapping of metal oxide particles, and filtering with a 400 µm stainless mesh. This process ensures effective self-cleaning.
Technical Characteristics
The collector operates at a maximum pressure of 3 bars, with magnetic trapping by 12 removable ALNICO 600 magnetic bars and a 400 µm stainless mesh filter. It is made of steel with an epoxy coating and causes only slight pressure drops.
Standard Installation
The collector is installed on the loop return, upstream of the boiler, with a bypass recommended for servicing without shutdown. A clearance of 300 to 400 mm is needed above the installation for filter cleaning.
Utilisation
The collector can be installed in new or existing systems to trap particles and remove sludge, especially in systems affected by scaling or corrosion.
Sizing the Collector
CWTI specialists ensure proper sizing based on installation type, treatment rate, and fluid nature to guarantee safe and reliable operation.
Maintenance
Maintenance involves purging the sludge trap, cleaning magnetic bars, and the 400 µm filter. Maintenance intervals can be extended after installation and can be included in a maintenance contract.
Guarantee
The product comes with a 1-year parts and labor guarantee, excluding consumables and transport.
Spare Parts and Options
Available spare parts include sludge collector cover seals, magnetic bars, and 400 µm filters. Options include automatic air release and purging units.
Model Specifications
The document provides specifications for different models (CDB 50, CDB 100, CDB 200) including part numbers, capacity, dimensions, internal volume, and weight.

high flow mud and sediment metal holder heating filters-1

SLUDGE COLLECTOR FIELDS OF APPLICATIOn C lear water is necessary for a (hot or cold) water system to operate properly. Recurring problem situations on air conditioning systems, cooling towers, industrial systems and other climatic engineering type installations, result in: - erosion of the walls by water flow, - battery effect, - degassing (particularly O2), - aggressive water attacking the walls, - hard water causing scaling that can separate, or in the form of sludge, - roliferation of micro-organisms (weed, mould, bacteria, ferro-bacteria, p sulphate-reducing bacteria), stimulated by stagnant water and moderate temperatures. To prevent these problems from affecting the operation of the installation, our collector range offers protection. The collectors will be installed on installations such as: - closed circuit central heating hot water system, - closed circuit water-glycol system. ADVANTAGES of the sludge collector PRESSURE DROP AS A FUNCTION OF TREATMENT RATE AND EQUIPMENT USED The sludge collector solves the following problems: - restricted circulation flow, - sludge deposit on valve seats in circulation power valves (magnetic phenomena), - logging of the control tee-pieces and the column base c valves, - clogging of the distribution collectors, - logging of the low points (radiators, underfloor heating, c etc.), - damage to circulators, - logging of boilers and exchangers (sludge precipitated c with scaling). Removing sludge from the system enables the installation to operate properly, reduces energy consumption and reduces maintenance. The system has no pump and therefore makes no noise. 100 % of primary circuit flow treated.

SLUDGE COLLECTOR OPERATING PRINCIPLE S ludge collectors effectively trap particles in suspension in closed hot or cold water systems, particularly in community central heating systems. The treatment process comprises 3 phases: - ollection by slowing down the fluid flow (‹ 0.1 m/s), due to the c large diameter of the collector case (400 to 500 mm, depending on the model), - agnetic trapping of metal oxide particles in the low velocity m zone, due to a magnetic bar mesh ALNICO 600, - 00 µm-filtering on vertical stainless mesh, which helps self4 cleaning. The collector can be installed when the...
