Product catalog summary
Introduction
The sludge collector addresses several operational issues in water circulation systems, such as reduced flow, sludge deposits, and obstructions in various components. It enhances system efficiency, reduces energy consumption, and minimizes maintenance needs.

Advantages
The mini-CDB sludge collectors effectively trap suspended particles in closed hot or cold water systems, particularly in household central heating systems.

Fields of Application
These collectors are suitable for use in systems with radiators or under-floor heating.

Principle of Operation
The mini-CDB sludge collectors operate by treating the entire return flow from the loop through three methods:
  • Decanting: Achieved by reducing fluid velocity due to the large diameter of the collector case.
  • Magnetic Collection: Metal oxide particles are collected in a low-velocity zone using an ALNICO 600 magnetic bar.
  • Filtering: A 300 µm stainless mesh filter provides self-cleaning capabilities.
This process ensures clear water, proper operation of regulation systems, and reduces corrosion.

Standard Installation
The sludge collector is installed on the loop return, upstream of the boiler, with a recommended bypass for servicing without system shutdown. A clearance of 300 to 400 mm is needed for cleaning the filter mesh.

Utilization
The sludge collector can be integrated into new or existing systems to remove sludge and scale.

Technical Characteristics
  • Treats entire loop return flow.
  • Max service pressure: 5 bars at 60°C.
  • Magnetic collection with ALNICO 600 bar.
  • 300 µm stainless mesh filtering.
  • Velocity reduced to less than 0.1 m/s.

Sizing the Collector
Proper sizing requires system characteristics, service pressure, circulation flow, and fluid nature.

Guarantee
1-year parts and labor warranty, excluding consumables and transport.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance includes draining the sludge trap, cleaning magnetic bars, and the 300 µm filter. Frequency decreases after installation.

Material and Dimensions
Available in plastic and metallic versions, with various inlet/outlet sizes and dimensions provided in a table format.

Collecteurs de boues bas débit-1

sludge collectors PRinciple of operation The mini-CDB sludge collectors treat the entire return flow from the loop. They act in 3 complementary and consecutive ways that are essential to obtain a good result: • ecanting induced by a considerable reduction in the fluid D velocity, due to the large diameter of the collector case. • agnetic collecting of metal oxide particles in the low M velocity zone, by an ALNICO 600 magnetic bar. • 00 µm filtering on a vertical stainless mesh, for self3 cleaning. The continuously clear water thus: - nsures proper operation of the regulation systems (valve e mechanisms, thermostat-controlled valves, temperature sensors, etc.), - revents obstruction of the small section exchangers, p - educes frequent corrosion phenomena of the "sub‑deposit" r type, due to the differential oxygenation of the pipe system zones. Advantages of the sludge collector F IELS OF APPLICATION The mini-CDB sludge collectors effectively trap particles in suspension carried in closed hot or cold water systems, and particularly in household central heating systems (radiators or under-floor heating). The sludge collector is the solution to the following problems: - reduced circulation flow, - sludge deposit on circulation valve seat (magnetic phenomenon), - obstruction of controller Tees and column base valves. - obstruction of distribution collectors, - obstruction of low points (radiators, under-floor heating, etc.), - clogging of boilers and exchangers (sludge precipitation with scaling). Clearing sludge from systems enables the system to operate properly, reduces energy consumption and reduces the maintenance required. System without pump causes no noise pollution.
