Smart bonding. 2C PUR adhesives High performance bonds Collano’s 2C polyurethane adhesives are reactive systems which contain 100% solids. They are free of solvents, halogens and formaldehyde. No heat or moisture is required for their curing. Products The properties of 2C polyurethane adhesives can be broadly varied to meet specific requirements. The products can be formulated to be soft to hard, elastic to rigid. The table shows the major products of our port-folio and is a good illustration of the range of possible mechanical properties. © Collano Adhesives AG, Switzerland 10.2010 Properties and application-specific benefits – Wide range of applications (e.g. metals, GRP, plastics, derived timber products, cemented materials, hard foams, mineral fibres, recycled materials, synthetic resin) – Suitable for impervious and non-absorbent surfaces – Application-specific formulations ranging from soft to hard, elastic to rigid, slow to very fast – Adhesive cures by chemical reaction between the two components – Pot-life and reaction time can be adjusted to the manufacturing process – Controlled setting behaviour – Reaction at room temperature can be accelerated by heat – Non-toxic after the reaction. – High-strength adhesive bond – High impact resistance – Good mechanical properties – High resistance to weak alkalis, acids and solvents – Good resistance to liquids and weathering – Good temperature resistance (-40 bis 100 °C / short-term temperature to 180 °C) – Can be used as an adhesive and as a casting resin (non-sag to readily pourable) – Can be applied manually or by machine (trowelling, pouring, spraying) Two component spray application system.
