Coatema Coating and Laminating - Mixers In addition to application systems and the coating process itself, the composition of the recipes and the preparation of the chemistry are of vital importance. This is why Coatema offers a broad range of mixers and dissolvers that can be custom made to meet our customers' most demanding requirements. Their volumetric capacity ranges from 5 liters for the smallest unit for lab purposes up to 1200 liters for large production mixers. The mixer are often fed by a hopper which can at the same time be used as a filter adequate to strain out unwanted element or conglomerations of raw materials. Depending on the raw material's stability, kneading tools or dissolvers can be used, reaching velocities from 400 rpm up to 3000 rpm or custom rates depending on specifications. An EEX-version, with a vacuum device for degassing the paste, is available when solvent based materials are being processed. An optional side scraper guarantees a homogeneous mixture. The velocity of the mixing devices are continuously monitored and shown on a display. The broad range of capacity and the velocity offered allows for dissolving and mixing for the smallest lab project to largest production run. The direct transport of the chemistry from the mixing container to the application system can be accomplished with a variety of pumping systems available from Coatema.
