- Ensure the tube is cut squarely using a hose cutter (TCUT) to avoid burrs and ovalization.
- For metal hoses, create a groove around the tube diameter with a suitable tool (TINC) to ensure proper fitting grip.
- Insert the tube into the fitting until it reaches the stop.
- Press the release ring while pulling the tube out of the fitting.
- Ensure the tubing is not subjected to tensile strength and adhere to the minimum bending radius as specified in the catalogue (page 363).
- Avoid contact with the release ring to prevent accidental disconnection.
- Follow recommended tightening torques for threaded parts as per page 6.
- PX line fittings are made of AISI 316L stainless steel, suitable for environments where standard brass fittings are incompatible.
- Various fitting types and dimensions are provided, including straight, elbow, and tee fittings with specifications for tube outer diameter, thread type, and dimensions.
Recommended tubings include PA6-6 with dimensions 4x1.5 to 6x3, suitable for high-pressure applications with metal stems. Acceptable tolerances on tubing are +/- 0.07 mm up to a diameter of 6 mm. The maximum pressure rate is influenced by the type of tubing and ambient temperature, which can reduce the tube's bursting pressure.
1. Cut the tube square using a hose cutter (e.g., TCUT) ensuring no burrs are left and the tube is not ovalized.
2. Insert the tube into the fitting until it bottoms.
For tube release, press on the release ring while pulling out the tube from the fitting.
Ensure the tubing is not subject to tensile strength and complies with the minimum recommended bending radius. Avoid any contact with the release ring to prevent accidental tube disconnection. Follow the tightening torque chart for threaded parts. If disassembling a fitting from a metal tube, do not reuse it with plastic tubing. Metal stems must comply with specified profiles and sizes to avoid irreversible damage to the fitting.
Materials include 316L stainless steel for push-in fittings and nickel-plated brass for gripping collets. Seals are made from NBR, and zinc-coated C75 steel is used for certain components. The fittings are silicone-free.
