Dual-climate chamber

Dual-climate chamber

Dual-climate chamber

Product catalog summary
Overview of Dual-Climate Chamber
The document describes a dual-climate chamber system, specifically the Excal 140 model, designed for testing materials like window panes under different climatic conditions. This setup is particularly useful for evaluating insulation, building materials, and the tightness of gaskets or assemblies.

Design and Functionality
The dual chambers are joined but operate independently, allowing for simulation of both external and internal atmospheric conditions. They are equipped with casters and handles for easy access to the central interface, which is positioned at a convenient height for users. The interface is customizable to accommodate specific testing tools, which can be easily attached or removed.

Control System
The system is controlled by Spirale 3, which allows for precise synchronization or desynchronization of climatic conditions. A touch Panel PC manages the programming and control, centralizing commands and data recording.

Flexibility and Connectivity
The chambers are connected via a network cable, allowing them to be quickly disconnected and used as standalone climatic chambers. They can also be integrated with other volumes in the Excal range, from 138 to 1800 liters.

Technical Specifications
  • Temperature Range: +180°C to -45°C
  • Hygrometry: 10% to 98% humidity within +20°C to +90°C
  • Speed Variation: 15°C/min from +80°C to -40°C and vice versa

Dual-climate chamber-1

Joined but independent, these two chambers of Excal 140 "hot cold humid" type enable window panes or other materials to be tested under two different climatic conditions which could, eventually, stand for outside and inside atmospheres. Frequently used to test insulation or building materials, this equipment is also used to check gasket or assembly tightness. The central interface can be easily reached by pulling aside the chambers which are equipped with casters and handles. When the chambers are fully open, it can be accessed from both sides and it is at human height. SPECIAL Dual-climate chamber The central interface is custom-designed to fit tests requirements and to receive a specific tool-holder. This tool-holder is fixed on the interface and easily removable, so it can be adapted to the different tests requirements. The piloting, ensured by Spirale 3, makes it possible to synchronize or desynchronize setpoints in time so the required conditions are perfectly controlled. In "Dual-climate" mode, the piloting, as well as the programming, is assumed by one of the two touch Panel PC. This function enables the commands and the recordings to be centralized on the same support. These two chambers being linked only by a network cable, they can be quickly disconnected and used as classical climatic chamber. This association can be carried out with other volumes (de 138 à 1800 l) of the Excal range.
