Engine and Transmission
The CLARK C40-55s forklifts are equipped with either LPG or diesel engines, providing excellent acceleration and high performance. The Kubota V3800T diesel engine delivers 92 HP at 2400 RPM, while the LPG GM V6 engine has a 4.3-liter capacity. Both engines are paired with a manual two-gear transmission. Engine and transmission temperatures are monitored to prevent overheating, and a heavy-duty coupling reduces vibrations and noise. All engines comply with EU noise and emission standards.

Brake System
The forklifts feature wet disc service brakes and an independent drum parking brake for safety. Power-assisted service brakes ensure stress-free operation, enhancing productivity.

Steering System
Hydrostatic power steering eliminates kick-back and allows easy steering with minimal turns. The steering axle features rubber-mounted pivotal bearings, and the double-acting steer cylinder ensures precise steering. The axle kingpins are mounted in lubricated tapered roller bearings for durability.

Hydraulic System
The hydraulic system includes a full-flow reverse filter and a high-capacity pump, ensuring a sufficient oil supply for the upright and steering. A priority distributor maintains steering priority, and a safety valve prevents uncontrolled load lowering.

Upright
Available in Standard, Hilo, and Triplex versions, the clear-view uprights are designed for strength and durability. Adjustable rollers minimize deflection, and tilt cylinders mounted in spherical bearings extend service life. An integral tilt-lock valve prevents unintentional tilting.

Additional Equipment
Standard features include headlights, indicator lights, pneumatic tires, and an acoustic reversing alarm. Optional equipment includes SE tires, air-conditioned or heated cabs, and various attachments.

Security
The C40-55s series is CE certified and meets all European safety standards for forklifts.
