Ash Fusibility Determination for Biomass

Sample Preparation: The biomass sample should be crushed and ground to a size of ≤ 1mm. It is then inserted into a furnace at 815℃ to burn completely. The resulting ash is further ground to a size of ≤ 0.1mm.

Instrument: The analysis is conducted using the 5E-AF4115/AF4105/AF4000 Ash Fusion Determinator.

Instrument Settings: Users must select the analyzing atmosphere, standard, and the number of ash samples to analyze.

Special Modifications to Unit: None are required.

Method Approval: The procedure is approved under UNI CEN/TS15370 and GB/T 30726 standards.

Procedure:

Prepare test pieces using a mould according to the relevant standard.
Mount the test pieces on the support.
Insert the test pieces into the furnace, controlled by software.
