FP Series Precautions

Product catalog summary
Introduction
This document provides technical guidelines and safety precautions for using pneumatic and vacuum components, focusing on the FP2 Series and NS/NSU Series. It emphasizes understanding chemical resistance, working environments, and maintenance procedures to ensure safe and effective use.
Safety Precautions
Before using FP Series products, it is crucial to read the safety precautions. The products are not suitable for direct contact with food or beverages, except for the FP2 Series within specified ranges. Users should avoid environments with damaging chemicals and ensure compliance with the Food Sanitation Act. Avoid direct sunlight, rain, ozone, vibrations, and high humidity.
Design and Selection
Ensure materials comply with the Food Sanitation Act. Check the structure, materials, and working conditions of components. Install filters to prevent wear or rust due to water. Be cautious of installation locations to prevent leakage or corrosion.
Usage and Maintenance
Inspect for leaks and ensure correct installation. Avoid using products as support or placing heavy objects on them. Perform test runs if unused for over a month. Regular inspections and greasing are recommended. Maintenance instructions emphasize regular inspections, particularly for nitrogen gas systems, to prevent oxygen deficiency and ensure safe operation.
Product-Specific Cautions
For electric actuators, refer to specific manuals for detailed precautions. Ensure compatibility with systems and avoid disassembly or modification.
Antibacterial/Bacteria-Removing Filters
These filters reduce bacteria but do not eliminate all bacteria or viruses. Not suitable for life-critical equipment. Ensure proper ventilation when using gases like nitrogen or carbon dioxide. Install air dryers and filters to maintain performance.
Mounting, Installation, and Adjustment
Ensure correct flow direction and secure maintenance space. Flush pipes before use to remove dirt or foreign materials. Use appropriate torque when tightening pipes and fittings. Store products in suitable conditions to prevent deterioration. Avoid vertical piping and ensure proper support for multiple unit installations.
Chemical Resistance
Consult CKD for environments with specific chemicals. Avoid using products with incompatible chemicals to prevent damage. The document outlines the chemical resistance of plastic components, particularly polycarbonate bowls, against various chemicals, including inorganic compounds, organic compounds, acids, alkalines, hydrocarbons, and alcohols.
Conclusion
The document serves as a comprehensive guide for the safe and effective use of pneumatic and vacuum components, highlighting critical safety measures, installation procedures, and maintenance practices to prevent accidents and ensure product longevity.

FP Series Precautions-1

Safety precautions FP Series: Warnings and Cautions Always read this section before use. Refer to "Pneumatic Cylinders I (CB-029SA)", "Pneumatic Cylinders II (CB-030SA)", "Pneumatic Valves (CB-023SA)", "Pneumatic, Vacuum, and Auxiliary Components (CB-024SA)", and "Fluid Control Valves (CB-03-1SA)" for general and product-specific precautions. The above catalogs indicate that the products cannot be used for components or applications involving direct contact with beverages or foodstuffs. However, the FP2 Series can be used for such applications, as long as product use remains within specification ranges. Design/selection CAUTION "Food Sanitation Act compliant" are products with material conforming to the Food Sanitation Act. Use after confirming the structure and material, valve structure, working fluids, and working atmospheres of each component carefully yourself. Depending on the model, internal parts may wear when the valve operates. If the product is affected, take necessary measures, such as installing a filter on the secondary side. If the fluid is water or water drops remain inside, rust may be generated and flow to the secondary side depending on the model. Take necessary measures in that case. The cylinder bearings contain a minute amount of mineral oil. Although it is treated so that it will not be discharged within the product specifications, select installation locations with care. The protection structure and material (except lubricant) of the 4G-FP1 Series are the same as those of standard products. Therefore, leakage or corrosion may occur in an environment with a high temperature and humidity or where the product is exposed to water. Select installation locations with care. When using the product CAUTION After installing, check for leaks from pipes and for wire connections, and check that the product is correctly installed. Do not use products as footing or place any heavy objects on top of the products. If the product has not been in use for over one month, perform a test run before starting actual operation. Product-specific cautions: Electric actuator ETS/ETV/ECS/ECV Series Refer to "Electric Actuator ETS Series (CC-1165A)", "Electric Actuator ECS Series (CC-1217A)", "Electric Actuator ETV Series (CC-1216A)", "Electric Actuator ECV Series (CC-1257A)" for general and product-specific precautions. Design/selection CAUTION not use in a range where the moving table could collide with the stroke end and break. Indicate the maintenance conditions in the device's instruction manual. The product's performance may drop too low to maintain an appropriate safety level depending on usage conditions, working environment and maintenance status. With correct maintenance, the product functions can be used to the fullest. installing, setting up, and/or adjusting the actuator, read through the instruction manual and operate correctly. The products are manufactured in accordance with the specifications. Do not disassemble or modify the product. Refer to the instruction manual of the motor mounted to the product and control for your safety before wiring and designing. The customer is responsible for confirming the compatibility of CKD products with the customer's systems, machines and equipment. During Use & maintenance CAUTION ood-grade F grease (NSF H1) is used for this product. Do not mix with other greases. egularly inspect the product at least two or three R times a year to check that it operates correctly. the product at 100 km intervals as a general guide. Note that grease interval differs depending on the working conditions. It is recommended to determine the interval based on initial inspection. Refer to the instruction manual for details. f the product has not been in use for over one I month, perform a test run before starting actual operation.
