Data Sheet Cisco Video Analytics ® Cisco Video Analytics software offers users innovative ways to perform video analysis. The software provides an intuitive interface and powerful tools to enable organizations to make the best use of their surveillance video. Analytics processing occurs on edge devices, providing a cost-effective method of deploying video analytics on the network. Cisco Video Analytics offers a choice between two analytics packages: Security and Counting. Each package offers a Base and a Plus version; users may upgrade from the Base versions to the Plus versions for more advanced analytics capabilities. For a comprehensive comparison of features across both packages, refer to the section titled “Cisco Video Analytics Packages: Feature Comparison.” Events that are generated by the Cisco Video Analytics software will be sent to the Cisco Video Surveillance Media Server and may be viewed on that platform. For more information about event viewing, please refer to the Cisco Video Surveillance Media Server user guide.
