Easy access to the battery for replacement as well as a robust design allow the CR:514 and CR:515 units to be used for both field calibration of sound level meters as well as for precision calibration of other sound measurement equipment.A single push button is used to switch on the calibrator and the unit will automatically switch off after 3 minutes to conserve battery life. The user can overide the automatic switch off allowing the unit to be used for longer periods if required. The calibration of sound level meters and other noise measurement equipment is vital to ensure that any measurements taken are accurate and comply with any regulations and guidelines that are being followed. >
