STD-503

STD-503

Product catalog summary
General Interface
The STD-503 is a compact 2.4 GHz transceiver designed for industrial applications, featuring Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) modulation and a true diversity circuit for reliable communication in congested environments. It complies with global standards including European EN 300 440, U.S FCC Part 15.247, Canadian ISED RSS-210, and Japanese ARIB STD-T66. The transceiver supports a transparent data interface for user protocols and can be configured via a UART interface.
Applications
The STD-503 is suitable for industrial telecontrol and telemetry systems, offering CE, FCC, ISED, and ARIB conformity. It features DSSS modulation, channel stepping via CHC pin, a true diversity receiver, and low power operation across 77 RF channels with a communication range of 300 meters line-of-sight. Additional features include an onboard temperature sensor.
Features
The transceiver operates as a DSSS low power radio transceiver with a data interface supporting 19,200 bps synchronous communication and UART speeds of 19,200 / 38,400 / 57,600 bps. It supports 8-bit data length, no parity, 1 stop bit, and no flow control. Specifications are subject to change without notice.

STD-503-1

DSSS low power radio transceiver The STD-503 is a 2.4 GHz transceiver enclosed in a small compact shield casing designed for industrial applications. The transceiver uses Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) modulation and true diversity circuit, enabling reliable communications even in the congested 2.4 GHz band. The STD-503 complies with the European EN 300 440, U.S FCC Part 15.247, Canadian ISED RSS-210 and Japanese ARIB STD-T66 standard, making it ready for the global market. The transceiver uses a transparent data interface to enable users to communicate using their own protocols. The module s configuration can be set easily via the UART interface using dedicated commands. *Circuit Design developed an onboard ASIC containing SS correlator (a key part of spread spectrum communication). This ensures long term supply for industrial applications.
