Dubai Municipality has recognized the necessity for an Urban Rail Transit System to enhance transportation capacity, alleviate increasing traffic congestion, and support the city's ongoing development and visionary image. Equipment Specifications
A total of nine cranes and one flat-bed transporter have been specifically designed and fabricated to meet the project's unique requirements. Among the cranes, two have a maximum carrying capacity of 100 tons, while the remaining seven have a capacity of 80 tons. The 100-ton cranes feature a span of 33 meters and a height under the hook of 18 meters. The 80-ton cranes also have a span of 33 meters, with a travel to the hook of 14 meters.

Operational Details
The cranes are engineered to operate in conjunction with a 100-ton capacity flat-bed transporter. This transporter moves prefabricated beams beneath the cranes, which then lift and transport the beams along runways to their final positions. All cranes are equipped with spotlights for night operations and are powered by on-board generating sets.
