Dryer Top The top of the dryer column in a Cimbria Continuos Flow Dryer consists of a top section, a number of buffer bins, a level meter and in some cases a relief section. Material The top can be supplied in either: 2 mm aluminium sheets according to DIN 1725-part 1 or 2 mm galvanised steel plate according EN 10142. Table 1: Top Section. The flange is located centrally at the top section. Furthermore the top section is supplied with an inspection hatch (500 x 540 mm) and a stand for level meters. Figure 1: Dryer Top with Level Meters Measurements in mm, cubic content in m , weight in kg. Buffer Bin The dryer has a buffer bin to avoid needles start and stopping of the transport equipment. The dryer in its standard form is equipped with 2 buffer bins and can be delivered with a maximum of 4. Additional buffer bins will require special support of the dryer. The buffer bins are constructed from trapezoidal plates. These plates stiffen the buffer bin. The buffer bins are not equipped with stiffening air ducts as the drying sections. Relief Section A- and B-dryers constructed from aluminium are supplied with a relief section replacing the bottom buffer bin. 2 level meters for start/stop of the material into the dryer and a bracket for a chain conveyor can be supplied as extras. The bracket is to keep the load of a chain conveyor off the top section, which is not dimensioned for extra load. The relief section prevents the weight of the material in the buffer bin from deforming the top air ducts. The cubic content of the relief section is less than that of the buffer 3 bin.
