The Chromalox SDRA SuperDragonis a rugged, self contained, mobileelectric blower heater that can beused with or without optional inlet or outlet 20 diameter flexible duct. TheSDRA units can be used for comfortheating or process heating tempera- tures to 180ԋF, and can be located inan ambient of up to 130ڋF. The SDRAincludes a fan only switch, that allows the unit to be used to recircu-late room air, supply fresh air source,or capture fume exhaust.The SDRA heaters provide for easily adjustable airflow for a wide variety of applica-tions including flexible ducting up to165 feet in length. Each unit includes two thermostats to enable the opera-tor to set the maximum inlet and out-let temperatures, magnetic contac- tor(s). A 120 volt control transformer,power on pilot lights and a high limitcutout to protect the heater against unintended low air flow conditions.The SDRA can be left unattendedwithout the threat of fire or by-prod- uct of combustion from fuel fired heaters. The bright red polyesterpowder coated heater can be easilymoved because of two 10ڔ diameter pneumatic wheels on the front and a4 lockable swivel castor on the rear. > The fan assembly includes a 16Ԕtubeaxial fan designed for industrial use and includes a streamlined belttunnel that isolates the motor, drivesand bearings from the air stream. The fan blades are precision balancedmade with spark resistant aluminumand includes permanently lubricated ball bearings. Safety belt guards aresupplied to protect operating person-nel from harm. The drip proof motor is rated 1hp, 3 phase 1,725 rpm and operates on line voltage. Fan speed can be varied from 1,500 to 2,300 RPM for various air flows by use of adjustable pulleys. > Two adjustable thermostats (60 to 180˚F) are located on the heater cylinder to allow the inlet and outlettemperatures to be adjustable for sin-gle pass heating or recirculated air temperature control. The power isswitched by magnetic contactor(s)which are located in a gasketed NEMA 4 enclosure along with themotor starter, control voltage trans- former and heater power fusing. Afan only toggle switch and pilot lights for power and heater are also locatedin the enclosure. > A structural frame consisting of 2spun steel rings and formed steelchannels support a 20 gauge steelcylinder phosphate coated for corro- sion resistance and finished in red polyester powder coat paint. Thecylinder contains patented metalsheath Fintube > Front and rear grills are 10 gauge,finished in black polyester powder coat paint and are designed to meetOSHA requirements. > heating elements thatinclude industrial grade .475Δ diame-ter steel sheath tubular heaters with furnace brazed steel fins for maxi- mum heat transfer.
