COATED FABRICS Solution for dashboards The OSKIN light range combines a flat, compact TPO sheet on a polyolefin foam. For the IMG + back PU foaming application, a 0.5 mm* TPO solution on a specific 1 mm* foam is lighter than a 0.8 mm* compact sheet. Using the back foam rather than just the compact sheet enhances the reception of the orthogonal texture. Depending on the original thickness of the compact sheet, the thickness of the TPO can be tailored to suit the elongations and residual thicknesses on the part while still retaining the weight advantage. The OSKIN light range has now been enhanced by a thick (2-4 mm) polyolefin foam solution that eliminates the need for the back PU foaming process: the dashboard function is consequently lightened while its environmental impact is reduced. 1 * thickness measurement Dashboards, door panels.
