BELT DRIVE ARRANGEMENTS AIRFOIL BLADED WHEEL The airfoil blades of Chicago’s IAF fan are formed with steel dies to assure consistent uniformity. For high moisture applications two optional holes are stamped in each blade blank prior to forming. When the blades are folded over and welded these small weep holes allow moisture to escape from the hollow blade.
