PRODUCT TECHNICAL SHEET: DESCRIPTION Tubular concealed door closer, tube length: 137,5 mm, preloaded internal spring with 15-25 N strength, device weight: 177 gr. OVERALL DIMENSIONS Please note that this specific product is not subject to CE marking as intended in the first paragraph of the EN1154 Standard CHAIN BLOCK It is possible to use two door closers at the same time. The door closer is supplied with a minimum preload already applied. WARNING The operation of supplied doors is guaranteed in normal pressure condition, where the rooms separated by said doors are not equipped with forced ventilation systems, i.e. with an appropriate air outlet capable of not creating over or under pressure which would affect the regular self-closing of the doors. TECHNICAL DATA TUBE Ø22 mm DOOR OPENING ANGLE Up to 180” CLOSING FORCE 15-25 N TUBE MATERIAL Galvanized steel It is possible to adjust the door closer spring preload by acting on the chain block, screwing it clockwise or counterclockwise, based on the desired force to be applied to the closing door. During the first installation it is recommended to preload the door closer by screwing it 5 times as a first adjustment and then regulate it based on the response of the leaf. Regarding the adjustment, view the photos shown below. QUOTED DRAWINGS – TUBOLAR CONCEALED DOOR CLOSER - Make the adjustments to the Chemolli Firebolt A5 concealed tubular door closer as shown in the pictures above, taking care to use suitable clothing and equipment (Protective gloves, glasses, etc…) to avoid possible injuries, and paying attention to crushing danger. Spring preloading adjustment (Pic. 1): Using pliers or claws grab the chain block and make the required adjustments by rotating clockwise to increase the strength and anticlockwise to reduce it. WARNING: By completely loosening the chain there’s a risk of it slipping off the tubular element. If this happens, the tubular element must be extracted from the frame and the chain re-screwed in its original position. This operation is not easy, as the initial preload is applied using a special mounting template. Connecting the door closer to the frame: 1. 2. 3. Keep the blocker nearby With a plier or claw grab the chain block and pull it out about 4 centimetres (Pics 2 and 3); Insert the blocker between two chain links and slowly let go the chain until the blocker meets the door leaf (Pic. 4). Do not adjust the preload while the blocker is in position to avoid ruining the surface of the door. For your own safety, use all the available space by fully opening the door; It is now possible to screw the strike on the frame (Pic. 5). Use 4 ø3 x 40 mm countersunk screws (Pic. 6); Once the strike is fixed, slowly pull the chain with a plier in order to remove the blocker. Verify the operativity of the door. For further adjustments, repeat steps 1 to 4 with an increased or reduced preload, as needed. We recommend lubricating with dry lubricant spray every 2500 opening and closing cycles in order to keep the visible chain clean.
