Detach the safety chain from the aluminum base that holds the glass lens 2. Loosen the securing screw 3. Remove the glass lens and aluminum base 4. Disconnect or cut the voltage supply wires near the socket 5. Remove the lamp, socket and socket extension 6. Attach the safety chain to the aluminum base of the retrofit assembly, use new hardware supplied 7. Inspect the existing wiring, remove unnecessary wire splices or excess wire if any 8. Connect the Retrofit assembly wires to the voltage supply wires: Black to Black, White to White and Green to ground 9.
