FireStop is a water-based, one-component fire protection impregnation designed for wood, wood products, and building elements. It offers antibacterial and fungicidal properties suitable for both interior and exterior use. Properties
The product is transparent or slightly cloudy with a white, grey, or grey-yellow tone. It has a density of approximately 1.35 g/cm³ and an organic part of ≤ 0.7%. Classified as B1 flame-retardant according to DIN 4102, FireStop penetrates deeply into surfaces, providing fire resistance and protection against water, mechanical damage, and aging. In case of fire, it forms a thick layer of fire-resistant foam, preventing burning and reducing fire flashover risk. The silicate film created during impregnation also prevents insect penetration and mold formation.

Processing Instructions
Application should occur at temperatures between +5 to +45 °C and humidity ≤ 70%. It is applied in 2-3 layers with an intermediate drying time of approximately 12 hours. Methods include brushing, rolling, or spraying, with a recommended application quantity of about 600g/m². Small objects can be immersed in FireStop for about 20 minutes followed by drying. After low-temperature storage, the product should be warmed to at least +5°C and stirred before use. Containers must be hermetically sealed after use.

Safety and Storage
Follow chemical industry guidelines and safety data sheets during processing. The shelf life is 18 months when stored at -7 to +45°C in unopened containers. Packaging options include plastic containers of 6.75 kg and 13.5 kg, with other types available upon request.

Applications
FireStop is weather-resistant, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications. It is ideal for wood and wooden constructions, and can be used in combination with mineral fiber, metal, and concrete components.
