For more than 30 years, Cavotec has engineered advanced radio remote control systems in close co-operation with customers worldwide. With our Cable Pairing function, we make it possible to pair terminals and receivers safely and conveniently. To insure that receiver units only accept commands from assigned terminals, all Cavotec RRC systems are fitted with a unique ID code, (according to EN 60204-1). Additional terminals must have the same ID code, (and frequency), as the original unit in order to function. Cavotec Cable Pairing makes mating a terminal and receiver simple, quick, and safe, while minimising machine downtime. It does not requires special tools or opening of the terminal or receiver. Benefits Cable pairing • Safely paring without programming software, shipping or controlled storage for keys or memory. • Reprogramming done with test adapter and computer. • Uses the same cable already available as the back-up control cable. • Pairing-ID/Cable-ID allows only pairing of functionally compatible terminals and receiver units. • Allows OEM customers to stock unassigned spare terminals for quick customer response. Cable EX (upon request) • Switch off the terminal you want to pair, and the terminal to be replaced. • Connect the new terminal to the receiver unit by cable. • Activate the pairing function (this is often the start button). Press and hold. • Switch on the terminal. • Wait until the status LED flashes eight times, indicating pairing is ready. • Deactivate the pairing function (release the button). • Switch off the terminal and back on again for normal operation.
