Feeder breakers facilitate quick discharge of payloads from haulage vehicles, breaking mined material to a size suitable for conveyor belts, thus minimizing the risk of jams and spillage. Cat® feeder breakers feature a large intake hopper capacity and high throughput rate. The high-speed/high-torque traction system uses torque hubs instead of hydraulic motors, providing higher tram speeds and greater tractive effort.
