Conventional Air Cap and Fluid Nozzle Chart Overview
This document provides detailed specifications and operational guidelines for the AutoCAT 100C automatic spray gun, focusing on the selection and maintenance of air caps and fluid nozzles.

Specifications
The chart lists various models of air caps and fluid nozzles, detailing their pressure/siphon ranges, fan control orifice sizes, and available fluid nozzle sizes. The materials used for needles and nozzles, such as 17-4PH stainless steel and carbide, are specified for durability and performance.

Operation and Maintenance Instructions
  • Gun Mounting: The spray gun can be mounted using a 1/2” diameter rod, with options for left, right, or bottom mounting. Proper mounting ensures stability and optimal performance.
  • Connections and Adjustments: The gun requires two regulated air supply lines for operation. One line actuates the gun, while the other provides atomizing and fan air. Fluid flow and fan width can be adjusted using control knobs.
  • Needle Seal Replacement: Routine maintenance is crucial for optimal operation. The document outlines steps for replacing the needle seal, including necessary tools and torque specifications.

Gun Head Disassembly and Reassembly
Instructions are provided for disassembling and reassembling the gun head, including the removal and installation of components such as the nozzle carrier, air cap adapter, and fluid inlet. Proper torque specifications are emphasized to ensure secure assembly.

Fluid Nozzle and Air Cap Selection
The document includes a selection chart for fluid nozzles and air caps based on material type and viscosity, categorized by thin, medium, and heavy materials. This helps in selecting the appropriate nozzle and cap combination for specific applications.

Conclusion
Overall, the document serves as a comprehensive guide for selecting, operating, and maintaining the AutoCAT 100C spray gun, ensuring efficient and effective coating application.
