Castrol Kleen 3601 is an ambient temperature spray wash cleaner that provides in-process corrosion protection for ferrous metals. Additionally, Kleen 3601 contains a copper corrosion inhibitor for in-process and/or in-solution protection of copper alloys. > Superior in-process corrosion protection eliminates rust stripping operations on processed work. Splits oils to provide easy skimming and long bath life. Low temperature operation saves energy and energy dollars. > Appearance of Concentrate Visual Clear, pale, yellow fluid pH of Concentrate CN-TM-069 12.0 Ζ 12.5 pH of Solution @ 3% CN-TM-069 10.5 - 11.0 Specific Gravity @ 60 > o F (16 > o C) CN-TM-086 1.065 - 1.085 Bulk Density lbs/gal 9.0 Nitrites None Phosphates Yes Silicates None > Kleen 3601 can be used safely on ferrous metals and copper alloys. The concentration of the Kleen 3601 solution in % (v/v) can be calculated by multiplying the volume of 1.0 N sulfuric acid in ml by 2.75. With Hach kit: Add 1 vial of Kleen 3601 solution and 1 pillow of indicator to mixing bottle. Count the drops of 1.0 N sulfuric acid required to change the color of the solution from green to pink.
