Industrial Extreme Pressure Gear Oil DESCRIPTION Castrol Alpha SP gear oils are a range of high quality solvent refined mineral oils, fortified with sulphur-phosphorous compounds to impart anti-wear and extreme pressure properties. APPLICATION Castrol Alpha SP oils are recommended for the lubrication of industrial gearboxes with forced circulation or splash and oil bath lubrication. Excellent thermal stability and oxidation resistance Good water resistance and demulsification characteristics Rust and copper corrosion protection of metal surfaces Less maintenance Lead-free additives Avoids heavy metal contamination in the work place and environment Note For applications where operating or ambient temperatures are higher than normal, the Castrol Alphasyn T range of synthetic gear oils is recommended.
