Product catalog summary
Features:
Variable displacement axial piston pumps with a swash plate design are suitable for medium and high-pressure open circuit applications. They offer a compact design for direct mounting on engine motors, with displacement ranging from 14 cm3/rev to 84.7 cm3/rev. The pumps can handle a maximum continuous pressure of 280 bar and a peak pressure of 350 bar, making them ideal for use in machinery such as skid steer loaders, wheel loaders, mini-excavators, telehandlers, forklifts, windmills, and tractors.
General Information / Instructions:
The pumps can rotate in either direction and use mineral oil-based hydraulic fluid. Specific fluid viscosity and filtration standards are necessary for optimal performance. Installation requires attention to line diameters and secure connections to prevent aeration and maintain pressure levels. Proper starting procedures include warming up the oil and gradually increasing pressure and speed.
Mounting Positions:
Pumps can be mounted horizontally or vertically, with specific requirements for drain port positioning and oil level maintenance. Mounting below the oil level is recommended to reduce noise emissions.
Displacements and Working Pressures Range:
The document outlines various pump series with specific maximum displacements and working pressures. It emphasizes maintaining pressures within specified limits for optimal operation.
Technical Data:
Technical specifications include maximum displacement, inlet and outlet pressures, maximum speed, and power output. Detailed data for different pump types and operating conditions, including temperature ranges and bearing life expectations, are provided.
Technical Specifications:
The document provides detailed specifications for MVP series hydraulic pumps, including operating temperature ranges, bearing life, and seal types. Viton seals operate between -15°C (5°F) and 90°C (194°F) for certain models. Bearing life is specified as 75% or 100% depending on the pump type and fluid used.
Pump Types and Performance:
Various MVP pump models such as MVP 30•28, MVP 48•45, and MVP 60•84 are detailed, including their displacement, speed, torque, power, and efficiency metrics. Calculations for flow, torque, and power based on displacement, speed, and pressure are included.
Technical Data Restrictions:
Restrictions are noted for use with fire-resistant and biodegradable fluids, specifically synthetic esters, with a maximum water content of 0.1%.
Displacement Settings:
The document outlines the displacement setting ranges for MVP 30, MVP 48, and MVP 60 models, including the impact of screw adjustments on displacement.
Operating Curves:
Operating curves for various MVP models are provided, showing delivery/power, volumetric efficiency, and overall efficiency at maximum displacement.
Ports and Dimensions:
Details on port sizes, positions, and dimensions for side and rear ports are included, along with tightening torque specifications for screws.
Drive Shafts:
Information on drive shaft types and specifications, including spline details and mounting face references, is provided for MVP 30, MVP 48, and MVP 60 models.
Additional Information:
The document includes references to gear pumps KAPPA and POLARIS PH, with dimensions and compatibility details for multiple pump configurations.
Specifications:
The document outlines the specifications for MVP drive shafts and related components, including details on external involute splines and class 5 standards.
Mounting Flanges and Compatibility:
Compatibility tables are provided for different pump types with various mounting flanges conforming to SAE J744 standards.
Ports and Sizes:
The document details inlet, outlet, and drain ports for gear pumps, specifying types such as Split SSM, Split SSS, SAE ODT, and Gas BSPP.
Pressure Compensators:
Several types of pressure compensators are described, each regulating pump displacement to maintain pressure below pre-adjusted limits.
Flow Compensator (Load-sensing):
The flow compensator maintains a constant pressure drop across a flow metering device.
Torque Limiter:
The torque limiter regulates pump displacement according to system pressure to maintain a pre-adjusted torque value.
Electro-Proportional Pressure Compensator:
This component regulates pump displacement to maintain pressure below a variable limit set through a command current signal.
Additional Features:
The document mentions options like damping restrictors for critical applications and dual setting torque limiters for specific configurations.

MOUNTING POSITIONS Standard pump is supplied with D1 drain hole open and D2, D3, D4 plugged. Before installation fill the pump with hydraulic oil for at least 3/4 of the volume keeping it in horizontal position. The pump can be mounted in a horizontal or vertical position. The highest of the case drain ports must be used to keep the required filling oil. If D1 is not the highest drain port it must be closed by moving the plug from the hole chosen for the drain line. The pump can be located above the oil level if the absolute pressure at the inlet port stays within the stated limits. With exception...
