Overview: The NEOS
refrigeration units by Carrier Transicold Europe are designed for small delivery vehicles, offering easy installation and efficient operation. These units are alternator-driven, providing constant cooling and heating for vehicles up to 6 m
3.
Design and Installation: NEOS units are available in two versions: Slim and Split. The Slim concept is integrated into the vehicle for improved aerodynamics and fuel efficiency, while the Split concept is externally mounted, allowing for more internal loading space. Both designs ensure compatibility with vehicle air conditioning systems.
Performance and Environmental Considerations: NEOS units deliver 1160 Watts at 0°C, ensuring excellent cargo protection. They use R134a refrigerant, which is chlorine-free and has zero ozone depletion potential. The units are powered by the vehicle's alternator, reducing the need for additional hoses and fittings, thus minimizing the risk of leaks.
Safety and Maintenance: The design of NEOS units does not compromise vehicle safety features. They are easy to maintain, service, and are delivered pre-tested and pre-set from the factory.
Accessories and Specifications: Available accessories include door switches, condenser roof mount kits, and standby modules. The units operate on 12 Vdc for road use and 230/1/50 Hz-60 Hz for standby. They feature automatic hot gas defrost and cab command controls. A 125A alternator and a 90A/h battery are required for operation.
Capacity and Weight: The NEOS 100 model has a capacity of 1160 Watts at 0°C/30°C and 450 Watts at -20°C/30°C. The condenser weighs 63 kg, and the evaporator airflow is 570 m3/h. The NEOS 100 S model has a condenser weight of 48 kg and an evaporator airflow of 700 m3/h.
Service Network: Carrier provides support through 600 service stations across Europe, Russia, the Middle East, and Africa.
