Oil filters

Product catalog summary
Functional Features and Applications
  • The oil filters are designed for use in the oil return line to compressor sumps in refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  • They protect oil level regulators and compressors from contaminants like metallic chips and sludge.
  • Compatible with HFCs, HCFCs, CFCs, and their associated oils and additives, and designed for non-hazardous refrigerants from group 2 of PED 97/23/EC.
  • Features include a stainless steel mesh cloth core, 150-micron filtering efficiency, large filtering surface areas, and a permanent magnet for trapping steel particles.
  • Available in six different models with copper-plated steel connections for high pressure resistance.
  • GOST certified products.
Technical Features
  • Oil filters should be mounted on the oil return line between the oil separator and oil level regulator, respecting the oil flow direction indicated on the filter tag.
  • Regular checks on filter blocking are necessary to ensure correct oil return at compressor sumps.
  • Installation of an HCYVP sight glass upstream of the oil filter is recommended for visual checks of oil presence and condition.
  • For optimal protection with POE oils, use an HYDROIL filter drier.
  • General assembly precautions are detailed in chapter 115.
Recommendations
  • Working pressure is limited to the PS BT value when the working temperature is below or equal to the TS BT value.
  • Classification by volume according to PED 97/23/EC.

45.1 n Functional features n CARLY advantages Oil filters HCYF n Applications • Oil filtering on the oil return line to the compressor sumps of refrigerating and air conditioning installations. • These filters are required for the good operation of oil level regulators and to protect them as well as the compressors, from any contaminants that could damage them (metallic chips, filings, oxides, sludge, etc …). C o Products are compatible with HFCs, HCFCs, CFCs, as well as with their associated oils and additives. Products are designed for use of non-hazardous refrigerants from group 2 of PED 97/23/EC.. o Product classification in CE categories is performed using the PED 97/23/EC table, corresponding to a volume-based selection. o Filtrating core made of stainless steel mesh cloth. o Filtering efficient at 150 microns. o Very large filtering surface areas. o Presence of a permanent magnet located at the intake of the filter, ensuring the immediate “trapping’’ of all steel particles. o Very large range of filters: 6 different models. o Connections to solder are made of copper-plated steel and allow the use of filler metals with a low silver content; their resistance to pressure is much higher than that of full copper connections. o GOST certified products. 45.2 n Technical features * The oil filters are to be mounted on the oil return line, between the oil separator and the oil level regulator, as close as possible to the latter. * The direction of oil flow indicated by an arrow on the filter tag should be respected. * The level of filter blocking should be regularly checked, making sure that the oil return is correct at compressor sumps. * It is highly recommended to install a HCYVP sight glass upstream of the oil filter (refer to chapter 47), in order to visually check the presence and condition of the oil. * HCYF oil filter only ensures mechanical...
