The WBA4-90 has been specifically designed to meet the exacting requirements of Wind Turbine yaw and rotor braking applications, where high braking and holding torques are required over long operational periods. The WBA4-90 is constructed from ductile cast iron, has two symmetrical halves each containing two 90mm diameter pistons, and features a proprietary piston seal and protection boot design. This unique combination of features ensures that the WBA4-90 provides reliable long term operation over extremes of environmental conditions, and simplified in-service inspection and maintenance for the duration of the Wind Turbine’s lifetime.
