Wireless Router Technical Information Power supply * battery life and sampling interval may be influenced by fieldwork conditions and system configuration - refer to User Manual. Wireless Router The router is used to increase the radio coverage of the Wireless Sensor Network. In particular is necessary to reach probes and/or dataloggers installed in places too far from the data collector unit or in presence of obstacles that impair the transmission. Adding a router in a network also ensure the redundancy on paths that data follows reaching the data collector unit (basestation). In case of difficult transmission the routing algorithm redirects data to a safer path through available routers. The routing algorithm, choosing between the various available paths, prefers those with a smaller number of routers preserving the signal quality. WR12 router allows to display and monitor itself diagnostic status: • battery level; • radio signal quality and level; • amount of data managed for each transmission. The features shown may be subject to change without notice.
