The CABV 31 is generally installed at a stationary location. The instrument is composed of three sub-units: ■ A case including measurement electronics, two alpha and beta both digital and graphic displays, good operation indicator lights and visual and audible contamination alarms. ■ A disconnectable keyboard including a LCD display for entering parameters and controlling the system; the user-friendly dedicated software makes these operations very easy. A measurement probe equipped with a 200 cm2 gas flow proportional ® detector fitted with a 0.8 mg/cm2 Mylar  window. Specifications NUCLEAR INSTRUMENT – Meets IEC 60325 recommendations. DETECTOR – Gas flow proportional detector, DPC 200-1. –  Detector area: 200 cm2. –  Window thickness: 0.8 mg/cm2. –  Stainless steel grid transparency: 49%. ■ ■ MEASUREMENT TIME – 2 s. GAMMA SENSITIVITY – 40 c/s in b channel per µSv/h (137Cs). Typical efficiency over 2p (%) Guaranteed efficiency over 2p (%) Response to activity (c/s)/Bq MDA: Background = 0.02 c/s (alpha) and 6.0 c/s (beta), measured in a 0.1 µGy/h ambience.
