Main characteristics The plant is designed for sorting recyclable waste. The main components of the system are: - Loading conveyor belt - Tearing shredder - Ferrous metals separator - Sorting platform loading belt - Sorting platform with 4 selections (8-14 operators) Functioning The material on the loading conveyor belt is fed into the shredder which, by means of specially configured blades, tears the bags containing the refusal to sort. Right after the opening of the bags, the ferrous fraction is removed by means of the ferrous metals separator. The material is then transported to the sorting platform where the operators pick the assigned material (paper, plastic, PET, wood, etc.). The selected material, and also the remains on the conveyor belt, will fall in their respective containers previously positioned underneath the sorting platform. The treatment capacity is linked mainly to the number of operators working in the sorting platform. The process capacity of the shredder is about 10-15 ton/h.
