Specifications and Sizing

  • Torque (in-lb): Horsepower (hp) x 63025 / RPM

  • Tripping Torque (in-lbs): Operating Torque x Service Factor
Application Considerations
  • The Torq/Gard should be used on the low-speed side of a speed reducer.
  • It can be mounted directly on the speed reducer output shaft or on the driven machine using a chain drive.
  • It should not be used on the high-speed side of a reducer due to sensitivity issues related to the reducer's gear ratio.
  • Ensure not to exceed the maximum RPM as specified in the selection tables.
