THERMO HYGROMETER THS The THS thermo hygrometer is a fully electronic sensor, composed of both a thermometer and a hygrometer for measuring temperature and air humidity. The monitoring of these two parameters helps iden fy liable risks, associated for example with drought, with the forma on of avalanches, and with the occurrence of certain atmospheric phenomena. Par cular a en on has been paid to the containment structure, specially designed to avoid any external interference on the measurement of the actual temperature and humidity. TECHNOLOGY AND OPERATING The two sensors that make up the meter are respec vely a PT100 class A thermometer of superior quality and a hygrometer whose sensi ve element is a capacitor with a thin film polymer dielectrics, with an electric capacity that varies in propor on to the rela ve humidity. The containment structure, which totally changed compared to previous THS, is made up of 6 ABS dishes. It is designed to protect the sensor from wearing, caused by solar radia on, and to grant adequate ven la on, so that the detec on is not distorted by overhea ng of the components. The low surface protec on is painted black to improve the accuracy of the sensor in environments with light reflec ng from below, such as in snowy condi ons
