ACTI ‐ Link Remote Serial Interface The ACTI‐Link Remote Serial Interface was created to remotely control a serial interface. The typical situa on in which the ACTI‐Link Remote Serial Interface is used is the serial communica on between a sta on and a sensor installed in a remote loca on, such as not to be able to be wired. The controller, implemented with a microcontroller board, on the one hand manages a two always‐on serial interfaces (one RS232 and one RS485) and on the other the RF communica on protocol. The communica on range exceeds 5 Km in op mum condi ons and with op cal visibility, which can be extended through the use of a repeater. TECHNOLOGY AND OPERATION The ACTI‐Link radio modules operate using UHF radio modules, belonging to the Short Range Device category and can therefore be freely used without the need for any license. The frequency range is 868‐870 MHz divided into 126 channels, conforming to the ETS 300220‐2 standard. The ACTI‐Link product has as many as 28 channels, depending on the power output and baud rate. The controller module has 2 serial ports, one RS485 and one RS232, always simultaneously ac ve and is powered at 12‐14 V.
