Cable STANDARDS Construction: BT CW 1326 DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATION Cables of 2 to 100 pairs with Cooper conductors of 0.5 mm. Solid PE insulation, twisted into pairs, petroleum jelly filled, stranded into units of 10 pairs with PE sheath for use in distribution network. They are used as primary cables in distribution networks inside ducts or buried without pressurization. CONSTRUCTION • Conductors: Annealed Cooper of 0.50 mm nominal diameter. • Insulation: Solid polyethylene. • Cabling elements: Pairs. • Lay-up. Units of 10 pairs. • Filling compound: petroleum jelly. • Core wrapping. Paper tape, longitudinally applied with overlap. • Sheath: Low density black polyethylene. • Sheath marking : The outer sheath shall be marked in white ink, at regular intervals, with the following information: o Name of manufacturer/ Year/ Length marks o Other type of marks according to the costumer Conductor Resistance (Q/km) • Average 91 Minimum insulation resistance (MQxkm, 20°C, 500 V) 1500 Mutual capacitance (nF/km, 800 Hz) • Average 56 Capacitance unbalance (pF/500m, 800 Hz) 2 pair cable 800 MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICS Temperature range: from -25° C to +75° C Bending radius: 12 x Rcabie All drawings, designs, specifications and particulars of weights, dimensions, etc. in this documentation are only indicative and must not be considered contractual.
