UNITY BOILER HOUSE CONTROL

UNITY BOILER HOUSE CONTROL

Product catalog summary
User Interface
The system features an accessible user interface available via a built-in touch screen or remotely through TCP/IP on a Microsoft Windows-based desktop PC. This interface provides quick access to trend data, alarm logs, and user-controllable functions such as time sequencing, fuel switching, and set point adjustments. A simple green, amber, red warning system alerts operators to changes in plant conditions. Operators can configure trends to monitor any system value on separate stations.
The Boiler House
The Unity system is designed to monitor and control an entire boiler house installation from a central control point, offering advantages over using multiple third-party controllers. The system allows programming and monitoring of various functions through the HMI, including time scheduling, selectable setback pressures, night setback, automated cold start, trending of measured values, alarm logging, automated water level tests, feed pump rotation, bottom blowdown, operator user groups, hotwell level and temperature control, and fault cause hints.
The System
The Unity control system provides comprehensive visibility and control over boiler house operations, from water treatment to the steam header. It can handle multiple simultaneous I/Os and is suitable for single to complex multi-boiler installations. The system makes intelligent decisions based on measured values to ensure efficient operation, reduce downtime, and extend plant life. It can process and trend various values, including boiler pressure, manifold pressure, water level, conductivity, hotwell level and temperature, blowdown temperature, flue gas analysis, steam, water, and gas flows, and gas pressure.
Connectivity
Remote control and monitoring are available via Modbus or TCP/IP, with other protocols available upon request. Modbus integration facilitates communication with burners, inverter drives, and field-based meters, centralizing information for processing. Alarm logs and test records are stored locally and can be printed upon triggering events.
