Circular pumps BFP

Circular pumps BFP

Product catalog summary
Introduction and Description
The document discusses the BFP series of circular pumps by Bühler Technologies GmbH, designed for hydraulic and lubrication systems. These systems often use bypass filters and coolers to maintain stable operating conditions. The BFP series pumps are compact, efficient, and designed to provide a constant flow rate at moderate pressures, utilizing the gerotor principle for low noise and high efficiency.

Why Gerotor?
Gerotor pumps are ideal for applications requiring fluid circulation with low noise emissions and pressure ripples. The design involves an inner and outer rotor with a tooth difference, creating chambers of changing volumes for steady flow. The BFP series optimizes the number of teeth and gerotor width for compactness and efficiency.

Complete Pump Units
The BFP series aims to minimize system size and cost by integrating components. Models BFP 8 to 40 have the gerotor driven directly by the motor shaft, while larger models use a special coupling for lubrication and cooling.

Planning Information
Installation Site Requirements: Ensure adequate ventilation and secure mounting with four screws.
Electrical Connection: Must be performed by a trained electrician, observing voltage, frequency, and fusing standards.
Hydraulic Connection: Proper configuration of the intake line is crucial, especially for lubricating systems with high viscosity oils. Suction and pressure pipes should be tension-free and vibration-free.

Technical Data
The pumps feature anodized cast aluminum housing and sintered steel gerotors. They operate with mineral oils at temperatures up to 80°C. Electric motors are three-phase, fan-cooled, and comply with IEC standards. Various models offer different motor powers and oil viscosities, with options for higher protection classes and approvals.

Pump Selection and Installation
Select the pump model based on motor output and oil viscosity. The pump head can be mounted in 90° increments. Connection threads are ISO 228 compliant, and soft seals are recommended.

Model Specifications
The document provides detailed specifications for various BFP models, including motor power, maximum oil viscosity, operating pressure, and dimensions. Acoustic power levels and weight are also specified, with adjustments for 60 Hz versions.

Circular pumps BFP-1

Circular pumps BFP Hydraulic and lubrication systems therefore increasingly use bypass filters and/or coolers. The advantage of these circuits is that they create stable and therefore more predictable operating conditions for both the filtration and cooling. Circulating oil in these circuits requires efficient and preferably silent circulation pumps which provide a constant flow rate at moderate pressures. Internal gear pumps, so-called gerotor pumps, have proved especially useful for these applications. They offer compact integration, are relatively insusceptible to particle contamination and have a long life. Low noise emission High vol. efficiency Good suction performance Built-in bell housing Gerotor principle Not susceptible to contamination The BFP series features a range of particularly compact circulation pumps specifically designed for this area of application.

Circular pumps BFP-2

BFP Introduction and description Why gerotor? Numerous applications in hydraulic and lubrication systems just require the circulation of the fluid. In such cases low noise emissions and low pressure ripples are more important than highly efficient transmission of energy. The gerotor is the ideal principle for such applications. The displacement mechanism consists of the inner and the outer rotor. The number of teeth of the inner rotor is always one less than the outer rotor. The rotation of the gerotor generates chambers of changing volumes between the inner and outer rotor. The variation follow...
