THERMOWELL SOLID DRILLED Solid drilled thermowells are designed to withstand greater pressures and fluid velocities than their fabricated counterparts. Some materials are also difficult to source in specifications to easily form fabricated constructions and so are generally only offered in solid drilled versions. All thermowells are manufactured to ISO 9000-2000 and are designed to meet British, European American and other relevant standards. A wide range of certification is available on request including; Dye penetration, Radiography, Pressure test, material certification and wake frequency calculations. Budenberg also supplies Fabricated pockets, please refer to separate datasheet. Screwed Process Connections As standard we offer BSPP, BSPT or NPT male threaded connections.: BSPP - 1/4"(P4), 3/8"(P6), 1/2"(P8), 5/8"(P10) BSPT - 1/4"(T4), 1/2"(T8), 3/4"(T12), 1"(T16) NPT - 1/2"(N8), 3/4"(N12), 1"(N16) Optionally you can specify threads in other standards such as ISO Metric, IDF etc Flanged Connections We offer as standard the following Flanges for our Solid Drilled Thermowells: ANSI 1"(A1), 1 1/2"(A1.5), 2"(A2) in the following ratings 150lb (1) 300lb (3) 600lb (6) 900lb (9) 1500lb (15) 2500lb (25) BS10 1"(B1), 1 1/2"(B1.5), 2"(B2) in the following ratings Table D (D) Table E (E) Table F (F) Table H (H) DIN DN25(D2), DN40(D4), DN50(D5) in the following ratings PN6 (6) PN10 (10) PN16 (16) Sensor Diameter The following sensor diameters are standard offering; 6mm (6) 6.3mm (7) 8mm (8) 12.7mm (12) 14.3mm (14) 15.9mm (15) Thermowells can be drilled to suit other sensor diameters by request. Insertion lengths The following immersion length 'U' are available as standard 50mm (50) 75mm (75) 100mm (100) 150mm (150) 200mm (200) 225mm (225) 250mm (250) 300mm (300) 450mm (450) 600mm (600) Other lengths available on request. Materials Standard materials of construction are: Carbon Steel - M 316 Stainless Steel - S Brass - B Copper - C Other materials on request Note that ANSI flanges are Raised Face ( RF ) unless specified as Flat Face ( FF ) or Ring Type Joint ( RTJ ). Note that Flanges will be supplied as welded flange unless Loose Flange type is specified.
