CONTINUITY TESTER Operating Instructions www.buckleys.co.uk Diathermy Lead (Plug End) Open Circuit Test Connect the two ends of the lead between socket 1 and plug 2. Press the ‘ON’ button. If the LED illuminates and the buzzer sounds, the lead is intact. Diathermy Lead (Hook End) Open Circuit Test Connect the two ends of the lead between socket 1 and plug 2. Press the ‘ON’ button. If the LED illuminates and the buzzer sounds, the lead is intact. Bipolar Lead Open Circuit Test Connect the square socket to plug 2. Connect each of the two 4mm to socket 1 in turn, pressing the ‘ON’ button for each. If the LED illuminates and the buzzer sounds for both leads the bipolar lead is intact. Short Circuit Test Remove the square socket from plug 2 and connect the two 4mm plugs between sockets 1 and 3. Press the ‘ON’ button.
