Product catalog summary
Introduction
The SAF-T-GRAF® System features graphite rupture disks made from high-quality graphite impregnated with a high-temperature resin, ensuring excellent leak performance. These disks are suitable for gas, liquid, or two-phase flow applications. The Monobloc construction integrates the rupture disk and holder, simplifying installation and minimizing leakage risks.

Specifications
- Armoring: Recommended for all graphite disks to enhance safety and prevent breakage during installation. Standard for disks with burst pressures over 150 psig or fitting ANSI Class 300/600 flanges.
- Temperature Range: Standard range is -100°F to +400°F (-73°C to +205°C). High-temperature service options available for specific models.
- Sizes Available: 0.5” to 24” (15mm to 600mm).
- Vacuum Resistance: >22 psi (1.52 bar) across all models.
- Gaskets: Standard material is Klinger-Sil® C-4401, with optional materials available.

Performance Features
- Burst Alert Sensor: GASTM sensor available for burst warnings.
- Operating Ratio: Up to 80% of disk marked pressure in static environments.
- Expedited Delivery: Standard sizes and burst pressures available for quick delivery.

Model Specifications
- MB, MBV, AMB, AMBV: Suitable for most applications, with vacuum supports needed for disks rated below 22 psig.
- FSM (Fail-Safe Monobloc): Features a fail-safe design, ensuring precise burst pressure from either side and reducing installation errors.
- IMB, IMBL: Inverted Monobloc options with or without liners for enhanced corrosion resistance.

Installation and Compatibility
- Compatible with international flange standards including ANSI/ASME, EU/DIN/AFNOR, and JIS.
- Gaskets are pre-fitted for ease of use.

Conclusion
The SAF-T-GRAF® System offers a robust solution for pressure management with its versatile range of rupture disks, ensuring safety and reliability across various industrial applications.

SAF-T-GRAF System Introduction Saf-T-Graf® graphite Rupture Disks are manufactured from a single piece of high quality graphite that is impregnated with an environmentally safe high temperature resin to provide excellent leak performance. All Saf-T-Graf disks may be applied in gas, liquid or two phase flow. At the heart of the Saf-T-Graf product is its Monobloc construction; the rupture disk and holder are integral, designed for simple installation between companion flanges with no potential for leakage between separate disk and holder components. Depending upon the application, different models...

Model MBTM , MBVTM, AMBTM, AMBVTM Monobloc disks fit most applications where graphite disks are needed. When using a monobloc disk in application: • Vacuum supports are needed for disks rated below 22 psig (1.52 bar) and where a vacuum condition exists. Model MBV or AMBV Vacuum supports are not required on 0.5” and 0.75” (15mm and 20mm) monobloc disks • Temperature ranges -100ºF to 400ºF (-73ºC to 205ºC). Venting Capacities Venting capacities are expressed below in standard cubic feet per minute of air x 1000 at standard conditions. Adjustments must be made when utilizing vacuum supports. Vacuum Example: An 8" Monobloc disk (a 10 psig utilizing a bar type of vacuum support, reduces the original capacity by a factor of Venting capacities are based upon ASME VIII UG 131, using a 0.62 Disk Diameter (in/mm] coefficient of discharge*, ratio of specific heats of 1.4 and a "Z" (compressibility) of 1.0 which simulates an entry into a vent system from a process vessel. Below 15 psig the flow becomes subcritical...
