These plugs prevent any water vapour ingress whilst in store and should be removed immediately prior installation. To complete the installation the oil seal bowl must be filled to the level indicated on the bowl. > Periodic inspection should be carried out to monitor the condition of the desiccant charge and the oil seal level. The breathers are filled with beaded Envirogel desiccant. This material changes colour from orange to green as it becomes saturated with water vapour. When the colour change reaches the indicator line on the desiccant container it should be recharged with fresh desiccant. > The only maintenance necessary to keep the breather in a fully active condition is the replacement of the spent desiccant and maintaining the oil seal level. Oil Level Maintenance 1. Release the toggle catches and remove the desiccant container from the mounting cap. 2. Unscrew the threaded nut on the base of container and remove the metal bowl guard. 3. Unscrew the threaded nut retaining the oil seal bowl. Remove bowl and fill with oil to the level indicated.4. Refit oil seal bowl and bowl guard.5. Refit desiccant container ensuring that the container seats on the inner cap gasket and secure toggle catches.Note: If the oil seal bowl is easily accessible the desiccant container can remain in place, therefore ignore instructions 1 and 5. > BLD6291PI-ISS 01
