Features & Benefits Boxed Housing Design The boxed section housing provides light weight, high strength construction. The upper and lower shock absorbing dampers reduce noise and vibration to the carrier. Compressed polyurethane isolators suspend the breaker body on all sides, absorbing shock and protecting the carrier boom from recoil energy. A unique front head restraint system reduces tie rod stress providing exceptional reliability. Large Diameter Tie Rods constructed of high tensile steel provide high strength. Abrasion Resistant Steel Standard rock claws and wear resistant steel surrounding the nose of the breaker provides exceptional wear properties. Narrow Front Head The narrow profile allows for trenching in confied spaces, as well as optimal visibility and access when working in tight quarters. Pressure Balancing System BTI’s unique pressure balancing system eliminates the need for an accumulator on 3,000 ft lb class and lower hammers. The accumulator on the larger models aid with the acceleration of the piston and reduce hydraulic shock to the carrier. Underwater Operation Port BT1000 and larger breakers are equipped with remote air porting for underwater operation. Protected Auto Grease Port Models BT1000 and larger include remote-mounted grease porting located on the upper portion of the breaker, providing a protected interface for optional auto grease systems.
