Saw blade teeth wider to each other: Is well suited for softer materials and for deeper cuts, since there is more space in between the saw blade teeth for the metal chips. The disadvantage here is that the saw blades become dull more quickly, since the cut and consequently the wear is distributed over fewer teeth than with close toothing. Resharpening: The saw blades can usually be resharpened up to 7 times. A mobile sharpening machine for the saw blades can be purchased from BRAUN. Coating: The saw blades can be coated with a special coating. The core features of this coating are: water-repellent / oil-repellent, high chemical resistance, electrically non-conductive as well as a very low coefficient of friction. Due to the friction reduction, the drive power is also reduced by up to 60%. Furthermore, higher peripheral speeds and service lives are possible. An additional advantage is the reduced heat generation. Coated saw blades should be used primarily for stainless steel, since increased friction due to the "lubrication effect" leads to performance losses.
