Plasticizers are high-temperature boiling organicliquids or low-temperature melting solids which are added to resins to impart flexibility. They do this through their ability to reduce the intermolecular attractive forces of the polymer matrix. They can also interfere with a resins ability to transmit vibra- tory energy.
