General Information:

The LS 4-way directional control valve is primarily designed for log splitters, offering fine metering to either port with a manual handle. The tank port must be directly plumbed back to the tank.

Spool Types:

Tandem center 4-way (T4): Powers cylinder or motor in both directions, pump unloads to tank in neutral.
Open center 4-way (O4): All ports connected to tank in neutral, allowing movement.
Closed center 4-way (C4): All ports blocked in neutral, suitable for pressure compensated pumps.

Handle Options:

J-style lever handle (clevis below spool) pressurizes A port when pushed towards the valve body.
J-style lever handle (clevis above spool) pressurizes A port when pulled away from the valve body.
No actuator (M) for J type spool.

Attachments:

Spring center hydraulic detent (SH) with adjustable kick-out from 800 to 2200 PSI (55-152 bar).
Hydraulic detent in both directions (HHA) not recommended for log splitters.
Adjustable relief set to 2000 psi (138 bar) at the factory.
