Operation

The SCMU 200 is designed to prevent emulsion breakdown due to water centrifugation by pump runners. Water is pushed into surge tanks, passing through flow switches that display pump capacity. This adjustable capacity determines the oil quantity mixed with water via reverse pipes. The mixed liquid reaches surge tanks, where air pressure is applied to deliver emulsioned water to forming units. Liquid levels in surge tanks are monitored and controlled, sending signals to the control panel to manage pump operation. The mixed liquid is distributed to forming units through a six-way distributor, using stainless steel pipes with a 10mm diameter.

This version of the Emulsion Unit "with surge tank", has been expressly de- signed in order to avoid the breaking of the emulsion due to the water centrifu- gation carried out by the runners of the delivery pumps.
