How eTurbo™ Works:
  • A turbocharger with an attached single-shaft motor can function as either a motor or a generator.
  • The electric motor can assist the compressor to provide additional boost air to the engine.
  • The electric motor (generator) can harvest excess turbine energy from the exhaust flow.
  • The electrical function can be deactivated to revert to normal turbocharger operation.
  • Can assist in driving Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) on demand by increasing engine backpressure.

Product Features:
  • High temperature permanent-magnet motor.
  • Available in 48 – 450 VDC voltage versions.
  • Provides up to 17 KW continuous power and up to 23 KW peak power.
  • Water and oil cooled.
  • Available in B50 – B70 frame sizes.
  • Corresponding power electronics controller also available.
